Filmmaker to Ride Coast to Coast on a Bicycle Promoting Documentary

EMMITSBURG, MD (March 28, 2023) — Conjostudios is excited to announce that Lighthouse Health and Wellness will be the presenting sponsor on the PTSD911 Coast to Coast Bike and Film Tour.
This coming May, award-winning filmmaker, Conrad Weaver will begin on a coast to coast ride on a bicycle to promote his new film, PTSD911. This film is a relevant and timely documentary exploring the issue of post-traumatic stress in first responders. The project sheds light on the importance of providing resources and training necessary to provide tools first responders can use to mitigate the impact of the traumas they experience on the job.
Weaver recruited his friend, John to ride with him. The duo will be riding their bicycles from the Pacific Ocean near Astoria, Oregon to the Atlantic Ocean at Ocean City, Maryland over the course of 65 days. The focus of their ride is to raise awareness about the problem of post traumatic stress within the first responder and public safety community, with screening events showing the new documentary film in many of the cities they ride through.

Lighthouse Health & Wellness (H&W) is the presenting sponsor for the tour and will be providing support for the pair on their coast to coast ride. The company is also one of the primary sponsors for the film, and they were the presenting sponsor for the World Premiere of the film in November of 2022.

Lighthouse H&W joins Priority Bicycles in support of the coast to coast ride. In December, 2022, Priority Bicycles donated two Priority 600 bikes for the tour.
“We have been planning on this bike and film tour for some time and are thrilled that Lighthouse Health and Wellness has said YES, to working with us on the tour. We’re excited to promote wellness from the seat of a bicycle,” said Weaver.
Weaver began working on the film after spending time with law enforcement and emergency service agencies in Maryland while shooting his previous film, Heroin’s Grip. After a few “ride alongs,” he began to research how traumatic scenes affect first responders and uncovered the issue of PTSD within the first responder community. He discovered that the risk of suicide among first responders is exponentially higher than the general population, and many first responders are afraid of losing their job if they ask for help. These experiences inspired him to create this film.
