Conrad Weaver

CONRAD WEAVER – PRODUCER/DIRECTOR

Conrad Weaver is an Award-winning producer and President and owner of Conjostudios, LLC, a video production company based in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Conrad received a Mid-America Regional EMMY® Award for his 2014 documentary feature, the Great American Wheat Harvest (2014).  His second feature length documentary film, Thirsty Land (2016)  was completed in early 2016 and is currently available on Amazon Prime.  The award-winning documentary, Heroin’s Grip (2018) is Conrad’s third feature length documentary. Conrad has produced and directed a number of short documentary films, including “The Bluebirds of Antietam” which recently won a Silver TELLY Award and a Bronze TELLY Award for cinematography.

In addition to winning a regional EMMY Award, Conrad’s films have received awards from Television and Internet Video Association (TIVA-DC), The National Association of Agriculture Broadcasters (NAMA), and a variety of film festival awards.  Conrad is a seasoned pro known for his compelling cinematography and a passion for telling stories that matter.   “Telling stories that matter is so much more fulfilling than stories that only entertain. My responsibility in the world, is to leave it a better place than when I arrived. If the films I produce can play a role in that, then I’ve been successful.”

Conrad is a member of the International Documentary Association, The Television and Internet Video Association (TIVA-DC), The Documentary Producer’s Alliance, and the D-Word, In the past he’s served on the board of directors for the Emmitsburg Business and Professional Association and currently serves on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the town of Emmitsburg, MD.  He recently volunteered as the Global Outreach Country Coordinator for Ukraine for his church in Maryland. In his spare time Weaver enjoys going on adventures with his wife, Jodi, and he loves photography, skiing, sailing, and traveling.

Nancy Frohman

NANCY FROHMAN – PRODUCER

Nancy began her filmmaking and television production career following two successful careers in immigration consulting and equestrian retail product merchandising and sales. In 2012 she was Associate Producer of a documentary about the Wounded Warrior Horsemanship Program, and in 2013 she co-produced four episodes of a reality series on paranormal investigations. Nancy is a Montgomery Community Media certified field producer and field camera technician. In 2014 Nancy won a Monty Award as Winning Technician for the PSA Gaithersburg H.E.L.P., and in 2015 for the series Lip Gloss and A Sander and in 2016 for On the Edge of Time. Nancy was honored at the 2015 Monty Awards with the prestigious Bruce Adams Award for exceptional volunteerism in the community.

Nancy’s feature documentaries, Cheers of JOY – The Road to the Special Olympics World Games (2016) and The Wall’s Embrace (2018) have won multiple festival awards. The Wall’s Embrace is currently airing on PBS stations throughout the United States and On Demand.
Nancy is a member of the International Documentary Association, the Film Collaborative, Docs in Progress, and the Washington, D.C. chapter of Women In Film and Video.

MARK MAXEY

MARK MAXEY – PRODUCER

Emmy award-winning producer, Mark Maxey, wrote, directed and produced the documentary feature film Up to Snuff about musician and composer W.G. Snuffy Walden. The film features Aaron Sorkin, Martin Sheen, Tom Arnold, Timothy Busfield, Fred Savage, Marshall Herskovitz, Ed Asner, Steve Lukather and Eric Burdon.

Other films include Beyond Sixty, Soul Prison, and Senior Entourage. Television credits include critically acclaimed specials American Valor, The Honors: A Salute to American Heroes, Salute to Veterans, The Wounded Warrior Experience, and the National Memorial Day Parade each of which were televised nationally. Maxey also created the PBS primetime special On Stage at the Kennedy Center: A Holiday Concert for the Troops with the late Marvin Hamlisch.

Maxey’s productions have included such notable personalities as Ed Asner, Kevin Bacon, Bret Baier, Ernest Borgnine, Ty Burrell, Common, Dean Cain, Brian Dennehy, Michael Douglas, Robert Duvall, R. Lee Ermey, Ken Howard, Megyn Kelly, Taylor Kitsch, James Madio, Joe Mantegna, Julianne Moore, Sean Murray, Mickey Rooney, Mike Rowe, Pat Sajak, Charlie Sheen, Gary Sinise, Tom Sizemore, Kevin Spacey, Kiefer Sutherland, Jon Voight, Judy Woodruff and Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, assisting behind-the-scenes at the former’s White House Student Film Festival.

Musicians with whom Maxey has worked include Alanis Morissette, Beach Boys, Blues Traveler, Bonnie Bramlett, Colin Hay, Five for Fighting, G.E. Smith, Hootie & the Blowfish, J. Geils, Jimmy Buffett, Liberty DeVitto, Mark Rivera, Michelle Branch, Pat McGee, Rick Derringer, Ricky Byrd, Sara Niemietz , Sheryl Crow, Simon Kirke, Sister Hazel and Snuffy Walden.

Maxey is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Maxey is co-founder and board member of the Washington West Film Festival, the only film festival to donate 100% of box office proceeds to help an area of need in the community. Maxey also serves on the board of the Rock & Roll for Children Foundation, benefiting families fighting pediatric cancer at the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health.
